Who operates TravelWiz

TravelWiz is the service name. The legal name and address of its operator have not yet been confirmed. For privacy questions or requests, contact info@travelwiz.co.

Information processed

• If you create or use an account, our authentication provider processes your email address and sign-in credentials or Google sign-in identity. The service uses a secure session cookie to keep you signed in.
• Optional private travel profiles contain your display name, interests, hobbies, pace, budget band, usual party, home city or region, language and units. Household profiles use optional nicknames and age bands, not exact birthdays. Only add information you are authorized to share. Dietary and accessibility needs require explicit storage consent and separate consent before relevant selected travelers' needs are sent to Gemini.
• Trip prompts, planner conversation history, dates or stay details you provide, and plans you choose to save may be processed to provide planning features. Guest plans and drafts can be stored in your browser; signed-in plans are stored with your account.
• If you submit business or trip content, that information is processed to provide those features. Published trips and approved business details may be visible to other visitors.
• When you use place search or planning features, relevant search terms and place identifiers may be sent to Google Maps Platform. Place information and photos are fetched live; TravelWiz stores Google Place IDs and may temporarily cache coordinates, not Google Places text or photos.
• To enforce daily planner limits, guest use is associated with a salted hash derived from the request IP address and stored with daily usage counts. The service does not store the raw IP address in that usage record. Hosting and network providers may process IP addresses as part of delivering requests.
• Trip videos may load thumbnail images from YouTube when displayed. If you open a video, the embedded player is provided by YouTube.

AI planning

When you ask the trip planner to create or revise a plan, the prompt, relevant stay details, and recent conversation are sent to Google’s Gemini API to generate a response. Google processes that information under its own terms and policies. TravelWiz does not control Google’s handling or retention of that information; review Google’s current privacy and AI service terms before including sensitive information in a prompt.

Cookies and browser storage

Essential browser storage supports sign-in, the theme preference, planner drafts, and plans saved on your device. These may use local storage or session storage and are not optional analytics cookies. The sign-in session uses an HTTP-only cookie.

With your consent, Google Analytics may set analytics cookies and receive usage information about visits to TravelWiz. Analytics is not loaded unless you choose “Accept all.” Choose “Reject optional” to keep analytics disabled. You can change your choice at any time using “Cookie settings” in the site footer. Your choice is stored in this browser.

Service providers and storage

TravelWiz uses Google services for authentication, database hosting, AI planning, place information, and optional analytics. YouTube may provide embedded video content. Data is processed by the relevant service providers to operate the features you use. The complete provider list, processing locations, international transfer safeguards, and retention periods need confirmation by the service operator.

Retention and deletion

Guest plans and drafts stored in your browser remain there until removed or browser storage is cleared. Private account profiles, household details, plans and bookmarks remain until you remove them or delete the account. Retention for provider backups, submitted public content, daily usage records outside account deletion, analytics data and operational logs still needs confirmation by the operator. You can delete private plans and saved references, edit household profiles, revoke sensitive-data consent, or start account deletion from Account settings. Device-saved plans are automatically imported into the account on login; failed copies remain on the device for retry. Local copies with older chat history may be retained until you delete them. Account deletion requires reauthentication and business ownership must first be transferred or closed. Published trips remain with anonymous attribution; identity embedded in their text or images is not automatically erased. A minimal deletion marker prevents stale requests from recreating removed account data. For help or requests concerning retained content, contact info@travelwiz.co to request account-data deletion. The operator must confirm how requests are verified and how backups and records that must be retained are handled.

Legal bases and GDPR rights

If the GDPR applies to our processing, the controller identity and legal basis for each purpose must be determined by the operator and stated here before publication. Depending on your circumstances and applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal. You may also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority. Contact info@travelwiz.co to submit a request; the applicable authority, response process, and deadlines require confirmation.

International data transfers

Google and other service providers may process information in locations outside your country. The locations and transfer mechanisms or safeguards used for each provider have not been confirmed and must be completed by the operator if applicable law requires them.

Your choices and privacy requests

You can remove plans saved in your browser using the site’s plan controls and can change your analytics choice through Cookie settings. For account-data access, correction, deletion, or other privacy requests, contact info@travelwiz.co. We may need to verify your identity before responding. The rights available to you depend on your location; the applicable jurisdictions have not yet been confirmed.
